During the manufacturing cycle, the items produced by Stilnovo srl ( 3022 AL) are subjected to a 3-step quality check run by the staff of our manufacturing department.

1. 1. The first quality control is aimed at checking the casting process;

   2. The second check is run to test the overall symmetry of all the components of the manufacture, the quality of the gems and their setting;

   3. The third check inspects the final polishing and the overall aspect of the object intended for sale.

These check operations reduce the amount of returns due to construction faults.

The guidelines for a correct quality evaluation of one’s manufactures are reported here-below:

1. METAL

1.1 Gold (yellow, white,pink)

The title of gold in all produced items is 750‰ (=18Kt); the material is an alloy composed of at least 750‰ of fine gold The white gold alloy must have a low release of nickel according to the Community Directive 94/27.

The yellow gold alloy must be of the 3N type according to the UNI 28654 Directive.

The pink gold alloy, a colour which is not included in the UNI regulations, must comply with the agreed chemical composition.

The white gold items must be subjected to a rhodium-plating process.

1.2 Platinum

The alloy used for platinum items is composed of at least 950‰ of fine platinum.

1.3 Silver

For the production of all silver items an alloy composed of at least 925‰ of silver is used.

All Silver items are made up of an alloy such as to assure their stainlessness.

All silver items are subjected to a rhodium-plating process.

1.4 Surface

The condition of the surface of all produced items must conform to the following criteria:

• Flawless cleaning and polishing of the outer surface, lack of abrasion marks due to sandpapering or filing

• Lack of oxidation stains

• Lack of porosity and fractures due to casting problems visible to the naked eye or liable to compromise the structure solidity

• Flawless regularity of the outer surface

2. GEMS

In all the produced items the condition of the gems must conform to the following criteria:

• No cracked or chipped parts, superficial scratches or any other damage due to assemblage or polishing

• No traces of polishing materials or glue

• In case of items made up of more than one gem, form and colour must be matched.

2.1 Diamonds

Unless otherwise indicated by the customer, diamonds must be genuine gems and have the following features: Colour G/H;

purity from VVS to VS, fluorescence zero to medium, cut and form conforming to the standard directives.

3. SETTING

Hammered, bezel, pave setting

• Perfect hold of each stone
• Symmetry in respect of the object design
• Perfect finishing (rounding and polishing) of the margin of the metal, the bezels or the milgrains
• Perfect stone matching in the pave
• Perfect external and internal polishing of the whole surface

4. WEARABILITY

All produced items must conform to wearability and comfort criteria, which imply an overall evaluation of the following parameters.

• Anatomical forms
• Surface smoothness (no roughness and acuminated tips)
• Simple use of the technical components (e.g., clips, fasteners...)
